What We Apply

Four coating systems. One standard.

Each job gets matched to the coating built for its friction, chemical, and corrosion demands — not the other way around.

Worker applying a protective finish to metal equipment
PTFE-Based / Low Friction

Xylan Coating

A resin-bonded, non-stick fluoropolymer finish for fasteners and moving parts that need to resist galling and seizing.

Metalworker grinding a machined part
Dry Film Lubricant

Plastic Coating (TK-7)

A thin, durable dry-film lubricant applied where wear resistance and reduced friction matter more than mass.

Worker preparing a metal surface before coating
Corrosion / Adhesion Prep

Zinc-Phosphate Coating

A conversion coating that improves corrosion resistance and gives topcoats a surface they can actually bond to.

Worker in safety gear handling fabricated parts
Electrostatic Finish

Powder Coating

An electrostatically applied, cured finish that holds up to impact, weather, and daily handling.

Metalworker welding a fabricated part
Why Ideal Coatings

Devoted to the coating — nothing else.

We don't machine, weld, or fabricate. We finish. That focus means every job gets the surface prep, coating system, and inspection it needs, without competing against other work on the floor.

  • Four coating systems matched to your part's actual demands
  • Surface prep done in-house, not outsourced
  • Straightforward pricing over the phone — call and ask
  • Serving Broussard, LA and the Gulf Coast industrial base
How A Job Runs

From bare metal to finished part.

01

Inspect & Strip

Parts are inspected and stripped of oils, scale, and prior coatings before anything touches the surface.

02

Prep Surface

Blasting or chemical conversion prepares the substrate so the coating has something to grip.

03

Apply Coating

The specified system is applied to thickness, across fasteners, assemblies, or fabricated parts.

04

Cure & Inspect

Parts are cured, checked for coverage and adhesion, and released for pickup or shipment.

Specs, not sales copy.

Four systems, each doing a different job. Call with your application and we'll confirm the right one before you commit to a run.

Xylan coating application on metal fasteners
System 01

Xylan Coating

Xylan is a fluoropolymer (PTFE-based) coating bonded to the substrate to cut friction and prevent galling on fasteners and moving assemblies. It's a common choice anywhere corrosion resistance and consistent torque-tension need to hold up across repeated assembly cycles.

Base chemistryPTFE / fluoropolymer resin
Primary benefitLow friction, anti-galling
Typical useFasteners, valves, moving parts
Corrosion resistanceHigh
System 02

Plastic Coating (TK-7)

TK-7 is a dry-film lubricant coating — thin, tough, and applied where you need reduced friction and wear resistance without adding meaningful thickness to the part. It holds up well on parts that see repeated cycling or sliding contact.

Base chemistryDry-film lubricant / plastic resin
Primary benefitReduced friction, wear resistance
Typical useSliding and cycling components
Film thicknessThin film
Machined part being finished with dry-film lubricant
Surface preparation for zinc-phosphate conversion coating
System 03

Zinc-Phosphate Coating

A conversion coating that reacts with the base metal to form a corrosion-resistant layer and a surface profile that gives topcoats, oils, and lubricants something to properly key into. Often the prep step underneath another coating system, or a standalone corrosion barrier.

Base chemistryZinc phosphate conversion
Primary benefitCorrosion resistance, adhesion base
Typical usePre-treatment, standalone corrosion protection
FinishMatte grey
System 04

Powder Coating

Dry powder is applied electrostatically and cured under heat to a hard, even finish. It stands up to impact, weathering, and daily handling, which makes it the go-to for assemblies and fabrications that live outside a controlled environment.

Base chemistryThermoset / thermoplastic powder
Primary benefitDurability, impact and weather resistance
Typical useAssemblies, fabrications, equipment housings
ApplicationElectrostatic spray, oven cure
Powder coated fabrication awaiting pickup

Who We Serve

Parts that can't afford to fail.

Louisiana's industrial base runs on equipment that has to survive heat, chemicals, and corrosion without shutting down the line. That's the standard we coat to.

Oil and gas industrial piping

Oil & Gas

Fasteners, valves, and downhole components coated for chemical exposure and corrosion in the field.

Machine shop finishing work

Machine Shops

Coating runs for shops that need a finishing step on machined parts before they ship to the customer.

Fabrication and welding work

Fabrication & Metalworks

Powder and protective coatings for weldments, brackets, and fabricated assemblies headed outdoors.

Marine and industrial equipment coating

Marine & Industrial Equipment

Anti-corrosion systems for hardware and equipment that sit in humid, salt-air environments.

Manufacturing production coating

Manufacturing

Consistent coating runs on production parts where torque, friction, and finish specs need to hold across batches.

Tooling and OEM component coating

Tooling & OEM Components

Low-friction and lubricant coatings for tooling and OEM parts with tight tolerance requirements.

Don't see your industry listed?

If it's a machined component, assembly, or fabrication, there's a good chance we can coat it.
